 The Simple Woman’s Daybook ~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

this morning from the front porch . . .
patches of snow, ice covered puddles, grey skies with promises of sunshine

i am remembering . . .
quiet mornings, unscheduled time away, visiting a charming town, quaint coffee shop, relaxing hot tub, long math lessons, freezing temperatures, barns along the turnpike

i am thankful  . . .
walking into our home after being away, God’s provision & safety

from the kitchen . . .
rolling pin, aged balsamic vinegar, pasta chicken dinner for a mother with her 5th child, 1200 calorie meal plans, 7-grain oatmeal, chopped figs, Bibles, Sunday Newspaper, clipped coupons to share

I am thinking . . .
women’s ministry, our field of daffodils in the spring, summer vegetable garden plans

around the learning rooms . . .
Saxon Math, dry erase board, markers, notebooks,

I am reading . . .
A Tale of Two Sons by John MacArthur

my favorite things . . .
the smell of spring, slippers, room service, wind through the trees, afternoon tea, the morning enthusiasm of our son’s dog — so ready for the new day!

a few plans for the rest of the week . . .
taking apart pine wreaths, delivering a dinner, still freshening home office, Daybook Society entries, unpacking, laundry, a walk during this winter break

 a verse of Scripture . . .

“. . . in the sight of God”
2 Corinthians 2:17

 dreaming of spring . . .

spring-thoughts
