The Simple Woman

~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

this morning from my front porch . . .
sunshine, 6 cardinals at the feeder, a dingy goldfinch, and hyper-active chickadees

i am remembering . . .
 yesterday’s Sunday School Class —
sorting through some challenging thoughts

i am thankful  . . .
a fresh week, a new year,
renewed enthusiasm for homeschooling, Scripture

from the kitchen . . .
french bread for overnight egg nog french toast, Christmas decorations put away, the landing pad (kitchen table) is clear, a refrigerator of leftovers to finish

I am thinking . . .
Dominion Theology, Replacement Theology, Eschatology and trying to understand what I believe

around the house . . .
a little tense as we get back into our homeschooling routine, ‘normal’ life routine

I am reading . . .
Epicenter, Joel Rosenberg

from the learning room
Watching and discussing, What Really Happened in the Middle East

my favorite things . . .
a clean desk, order and simplicity, doing some of the tasks that I have been procrastinating

a few plans for the rest of the week . . .

finish painting our daughter’s dressers, some mending for her before she goes to back to school, clean-out refrigerator, create an Excel spreadsheet of our groceries and prices to know which store has our favorites — the cheapest, clean out office, work 30 minutes  every day in the basement, after Christmas return, italian red sauce.

a verse of Scripture . . .
who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father

Galatians 1:4
