The Simple Woman’s Daybook

 ~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

this morning from my front porch . . .
fluffy, white snow balancing on grass blades and tree limbs;
a white blanket on the back porch, more falling snow

i am remembering . . .
a week of tragedy, pain, fear, trauma, generosity of friends,
and walking very close to the Lord

i am thankful  . . .
a new week, a family reunited in their home, clean kitchen,
our children, a day at home

from the kitchen . . .
apples to preserve for a friend, recipe books, winter coats,
candles burning, fresh coffee

i am hoping . . .
the Lord multiplies the work of our hands this week!

I am thinking . . .
Thanksgiving week menus, how much I love snowy mornings,
family filling the house next week, and Christmas Carols

around the house . . .
quiet, soft glowing light reflecting the snow outside,

I am reading . . .
Taste of Home Cookie and Bars”

one of my favorite things . . .
SNOW, especially the first snow

a few plans for the rest of the week . . .
Making beds, finish Southern Living at Home orders, unloading the car, finding the snow brushes for the cars, filling bird feeders, deep cleaning, painting a vanity, meals for friends,
finding a most excellent seafood chowder recipe

a verse of Scripture . . .
“House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers,
But a prudent wife is from the Lord.”
Proverbs 19:14

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you . . .
