~**~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

this morning from my front porch . . .

ice from last night’s rain, crunching grass underfoot,
greedy blue jays at the feeder, bare trees

i am remembering . . .

the sea of black and gold at the Steeler game, a new aquarium, freshly cleaned bathroom with a new shower curtain, our friends, the cherub choir,
running out of water

i am thankful  . . .

husband home for the weekend, we are aliens in this world, the places where God meets me, storm windows, and precious water from the spigot

from the kitchen . . .

jars of pepper relish, pot of oatmeal, gloves, hats and boots, our son’s recurve bow, clean dishes, recipe books, our son’s first-run Christmas list

i am hoping . . .

find the beater to the bread machine L

I am thinking . . .

homemade Christmas gifts, Thanksgiving menu, daughter in Virginia

around the house . . .

ESPN for my fantasy football husband, blooming Christmas Thanksgiving cactus, laundry to fold
I am reading . . .
“The Perfect Mix” gift giving ideas for homemade mixes

one of my favorite things . . .

water
(funny how important it becomes when you consider it may be gone)

a few plans for the rest of the week . . .

stripping wallpaper, setting up a guest bedroom,
Southern Living at Home gatherings,

a verse of Scripture . . .

“so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification,
and redemption, so that, just as it is written,
‘LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.’
1 Corinthians 1:29-30

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you . . .
