this morning

from my front porch . . .  the promise of a bright, beautiful, warm day

i am remembering . . . a family day trip to the Laurel Mountains, local maple syrup, natural springs, the unassuming yet elegant in its simplicity, Bedford Springs Inn; stunning canvas of colored leaves

i am thankful  . . . a lightly scheduled weekend, friends who gave our son their spare bedroom furniture, diligent contenders for our faith.

from the kitchen . . . thoughts of pumpkin bread & apple/pear crisp

i am reading . . . Faith Undone by Roger Oakland

i am hoping . . . the local apple orchard still has “seconds” for a week of apple sauce & apple butter

around the house . . . extra shoes, a tennis racquet, fleece coats, glasses & dishes from late night snacks

one of my favorite things . . . a puzzle on the kitchen table

a few plans for the rest of the week . . . time with our daughter home for fall break, watching the neighbor’s infant son, tending to the outside of the home and yard with the line-up of fresh fall days the weather people are promising

Picture thoughts I am sharing with you . . .
