For many of us this keynote area of our life is what might throw us off balance.

Because . . .

the time “socializing” steals precious time from our day.

the pain of a broken friendship.

the pain of two friend’s strained friendship.

the pain of friendships lost because of differences . .  .

. . . in choices, in theology, in lifestyle, in children.

We cannot escape the “social” aspect of our lives but we can lay those relationships at the feet of Christ. As Godly women we can ask ourselves — “How does this friendship bring glory and honor to Christ?” And only then can we create a “plan” in our simple weekly calendar to bring those answers as goals into our week.

Reference: A man of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24) and “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)

A Sampling: The “social” keynote area of our life encompasses both friends and acquantiances although I focused on just friendship.

1.  Write down the names of 3 different close friends, and try to call or communicate with each of them in some way.

2.  Note Ministry each morning try to send one note to someone. Your church bulletin of prayer requests is a resource, local newspaper, family. A few years ago in our church there was a woman dying with dignity of cancer and this was her end-of-life’s ministry. Her notes were precious and a joy to receive by all. We can be that reflection of Christ in the lifes of others with simply a quick & sincere note.
